How do we create a poster for the school X-factor event?

I have been asked to create a poster to advertise the school x-factor event. Most of the posters attract attention with the brightness of colours: for example red or orange. In this case the colour of the real X-factor is red. This poster has also to be suitable for all ages for grade 5 to grade 13. Miss Daykin is the boss of this campaign so I should ask to her the expectation required for the poster but not only she will decide the colours. To achive the things I will use Powerpoint because it is the “poster creator” that I use better. I think that I will need help in the abbiantion of colours,. Mabye I would like to do xfactor so I will have all the info I need to put in.

How do the task relate to me? relate to society? relate to the area of interaction?

This task could help me if I would like to be a graphic designer and design poster when i will be older. This poster will help the school society by inviting more people to come to the X factor event and consequently raise more money for the unhappy people in less developed countries.
This task will relate to the area of interaction which in this case is Community and service because the X factor will raise money for other people and by advertising it I invite more people to come and more people bring more money thus I helped to raise money for the other people.
